During pole qualifying at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday, Carl Edwards claimed the pole for Saturday night's NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race at the track with a time of 111.297 seconds. That time was the total time it took Edwards to run three laps, during which he hit pit road for a four-tire pit stop by his No. 99 Roush Fenway Racing team. During qualifying for the All-Star Race, there was no speed limit on pit road, as only one car at a time was coming down pit road for service.
