There's no question Indianapolis Motor Speedway is hallowed ground in the motorsports world, but does that automatically make the Brickyard 400 one of NASCAR's marquee events?
Three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers -- Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman and Tony Stewart -- consider Indiana their home state. Newman and Stewart are both Hoosier natives, while Gordon grew up Indiana after moving there from California. All three have reached victory lane at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, led by Gordon with five wins in the Brickyard 400.
